Distribuzione

Le tre specie oggi note di questo genere sono mwdgendemiche, due della mwdwTanzania e una del mweaSudafricacite-ref-salticidae-1-0[1].

Tassonomia

Gli esemplari della mwfwspecie tipo vennero descritti nel 1903 dai coniugi Peckham con la denominazione di mwgaEuophrys simoni; a seguito di uno studio della Wesolowska del 2000 sono assurti al rango di genere a sécite-ref-salticidae-1-1[1].

A dicembre 2010, si compone di tre speciecite-ref-salticidae-1-2[1]:

• mwkgPignus pongola mwlaWesolowska & Haddad, 2009 — Tanzania
